All Dogs Welcome!
Big or small, young or old—purebred or mixed—every dog is welcome! Dogs of all backgrounds are invited to participate. AKC registration is not required to join, though some classes may require registration to earn AKC-recognized titles or honors at the end of the session. Youth handlers are welcome to participate in handling classes at no charge!
Spring 2026 Training:
Thursdays, April 2-May 7, 2026
1st Class please arrive at 5:30 PM to confirm registration, all remaining classes begin at 6:30 pm

Location: Durham Community Park
STAR Puppy and Rally classes require adequate enrollment to ensure a quality group experience. Pre-registration strongly encouraged to ensure these classes can run.

Manners: Build a strong foundation of obedience and behavior. This class is perfect for dogs learning basic commands and those looking to polish existing skills. Ideal for household companions and dogs preparing for future competition.
Conformation: Prep for exhibiting dogs at dog shows
S.T.A.R. Puppy: Puppy Class (16 weeks - 10.5 months): Give your puppy the best start! This class focuses on socialization, training, exercise, and responsible dog ownership, helping new puppy owners build a strong bond with their dogs. Also a great first step towards earning the Canine Good Citizen title.
Rally: AKC Novice Rally is a fun, team-based class that builds communication and confidence between you and your dog. Teams learn the official Novice Rally signs while practicing maneuvers, and teamwork in a positive, encouraging environment.
